Nikayla and Ben's Wedding at Waipuna Estate
Nikayla and Ben were married at mid September at Waipuna Estate in Tai Tapu. they both stayed at Waipuna the night before and got ready there that morning, Nikayla and her party had their hair done by Graceful Hair Art and their makeup was by Stacey Banfield. Lynette Brass visited in the morning to drop off some beautiful Bouquets. Local legend and DJ Brendan from Boogie Beats was on site early on to set up for the reception, he would also be handling emcee duties that night and audio for the Ceremony so it was awesome to liaise with him early.
At 3pm Nikayla walked up the aisle where Court McCulloch officiated the Ceremony and helped get everything signed away. After some hugs, kisses and a big group photo we headed out with the bridal party for some photography on site with Letitia from George and Jane.
At 6pm we all cheered as Nikayla and Ben entered for the reception and cut their cake from Daisie and Lime. After dinner Brendan kept everything moving along smoothly with some touching speeches from friends and family, Nikayla and Ben had organised to have some sparkers for photos that night, but at the last minute I suggested handing them out to people to wave during their first dance and we pivoted to that and got some epic shots as a result. the dance floor was cranking by the time I said my goodbyes and headed off.

One of the unique elements from my Heirloom Film service that’s not included in the Next Day Film is these dedicated over the shoulder shots during the ceremony, they deliver some truly great moments right at the heart of the wedding ceremony

The Heirloom film is a labour of love, after filming all day there is a lot of footage to prepare before the Film is ready to watch. I made Nikayla and Ben this preview to enjoy and share while they waited for me to complete their full film.

It was a fantastic day out with so many fantastic people, I had a blast filming and editing everything you’ve now seen.

I can't tell you how many times we have watched this already, how special that we get to relive this day forever and to see things that we missed on the day!
