Lucy and Richie's Wedding in Tai Tapu, New Zealand

Highly recommend Rowan at Frameboy Films, he captured every piece of our wedding day so well and the footage is amazing. It will be so nice to be able to look back in time and bring the day back to life. If you are considering getting a videographer definitely do it, Rowan’s films are so worth it.
He has such a relaxed easy going vibe which makes the day so fun

We also made this short version to share on instagram

Lucy and Richie were married in mid-March on a beautiful private property in Tai Tapu, with Court McCulloch officiating. Blank Space Events planned and styled the event, while Samantha Rose Flowers created stunning floral arrangements. Party Warehouse provided the marquee, Jess Howzen Photography captured the day beautifully, and I crafted their Next Day Film above.

that afternoon

Today was always a matter of when not if because in each other you have found the one person you each want to spend your life with. There has never been a doubt in your mind that the other is the right one for you.
— Court McCulloch, Celebrant
And so today, as you make a commitment to spend your lives together, it is knowing that now is the right time as you look towards the next chapter in your lives and the family that you want to have while knowing that the commitment you share has been and will always be there.
— Court McCulloch, Celebrant
I feel so lucky to get to marry not only the love of my life, but also my best friend.
From when we first met at Lincoln Uni, I knew there was something special about you.
— Richie
I look forward to celebrating milestones with you, making the most of every day, seizing opportunities, and finding joy in even the smallest moments.
— Lucy
Through the beautiful and the tough times in your lives together, always remember to reflect back to this moment, surrounded by your family and your friends, seeing each other for the first time, making your promises and your commitments to each other. And now, as it is with so much happiness that I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride!

that evening

Lucy, you are one amazing young lady, and Dad and I are very proud of you—the achievements you have accomplished, the milestones met, and the fabulous daughter you are to us and favourite sister to Henry and Tom.
— The Speeches, Lucy's Mother

Here’s what Lucy had to say upon first receiving the film:

We absolutely love the film Rowan!! It is so so well done thank you so much
— Lucy

Lucy and Richie’s wedding was one of those rare, perfect days that felt equal parts relaxed and magical. Set on a stunning private property in Tai Tapu, their celebration was filled with joy, natural beauty, and the kind of love that makes documenting these moments such an honour.

From the heartfelt ceremony led by Court McCulloch to the stunning florals by Samantha Rose Flowers, every detail was thoughtfully considered and beautifully brought together by the team at Blank Space Events. The marquee from Party Warehouse created the perfect space for guests to celebrate under the late-summer sky, while Jess Howzen Photography captured the still moments with effortless style and warmth.

I had the absolute pleasure of crafting Lucy and Richie’s Next Day Film, a cinematic glimpse into their wedding day delivered while the memories were still fresh. Their relaxed, easy-going nature made the whole experience a joy to be part of, and it was clear just how much thought and love had gone into every aspect of the day.

If you’re planning your own wedding and considering whether to invest in a videographer, it’s worth knowing just how powerful it can be to relive your day through film. These moments go by quickly, and having them captured in motion allows you to return to the laughter, the vows, the music, and the energy of your day, again and again.

At Frameboy Films, I specialise in crafting honest, cinematic wedding films that feel true to you. Whether you’re planning a celebration in Christchurch, Canterbury, or anywhere else across New Zealand, I’d love to help tell your story.

Thank you Lucy and Richie for trusting me with your memories, it was a day I won’t forget.

thank you for reading!
