Emily and Luke’s Wedding on the Hill in Oxford

Emily and Luke were married in mid November on a hill by their home in Oxford. Chloe Black and Main Divide Hair Lounge did Emily and her bridesmaids’ Makeup and Hair respectively. Keith ‘Aussie’ Eleftheriou kept a rowdy crowd under control and ensured Emily and Luke finished the day as a married couple. Danielle Hardy of Inview Photography took pictures throughout the day and I was all over it capturing the sights in a Next Day Edit video… Which you can watch right here.

Here’s what Emily and Luke had to say about my services

‘Thanks so much Rowan it’s amazing! Thanks for everything yesterday. Thanks very much for getting all the videos sent through they look great. Thanks for being apart of our special day we are so glad we got videos done such a great way to remember the day’

All the photos here are taken from the Next Day Film above.

I started the day at Emily and Luke’s family home with Emily, the kids and her friends, while Chloe Black and Main Divide Hair Lounge did the Makeup and Hair. I nipped around the road to tune in with Luke and his groomsmen while they got dressed before returning to Emily.

Emily and Luke had scoped out a fantastic spot a few minutes away from their house with a. spectacular view of Oxford. I was there with some time to spare so I got out the drone and grabbed an establishing shot of their unique venue. Keith ‘Aussie’ Eleftheriou had his work cut out keeping a small but enthusiastic group of guests in check (thankfully there’s no one more up to the task 😁). Before we knew it Emily and Luke were married and picking their way back down the ‘aisle’.

I got the drone back out and got some more shots from above as well as some candid shots of the guests from the ground. Keith once again wrangled the guests together and we finished off with a group photo before Danielle, and I began on the bridal party shoot.

We started with the bridal party just up the hill from the Ceremony spot. It was pretty windy but as far as I’m concerned that always looks cool in video. 🥰

Danielle had scoped out another spot down the road so we got a few more shots on the way home.

The Reception was beyond chill. Luke and Emily had set up a marquee in their backyard. The ceremony guests where already there and more people arrived over the next few hours. Emily and Luke had opted to put on lots of drinks and a grazing table in lieu of a sit down dinner and the vibe could not have been better. I got lots of candid shots of the guests hanging out, laughing and drinking.

Later Danielle, Emily, Luke and I jumpped in the car and headed back up the hill for a few portraits in the evening light. Then back at home after some very rousing speeches I said my goodbyes and headed home for Christchurch to finish up Emily and Luke’s Next Day Edit video. Emily and Luke had picked out a very cool song and I had a blast putting the video together. I had it ready for them to watch the following morning. 😁

In a first for me I got a text from Luke the next day thanking me for the video!

‘Hey Rowan, video is fucking mint. Thanks for your efforts! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the footage. Really cool stuff. Chat soon, Luke’

Which absolutely made my day! 😁 😁 😁

Thanks for reading my blog!!
