Chelsea and Mikenzi’s Photography and Film
I took photos and made a film for Chelsea and Mikenzi’s wedding in March at the Rangiora Golf Course.

When I’m doing both the Photography and Filmmaking I’ll shoot video all day and extract stills from the video. I’ll also shoot dedicated photos at key points throughout the day. The images below are a mixture of both styles.

I love this shot, the door being open is so terrific.
The morning was breezy and laidback. Everyone was excited as they got ready for the big day ahead. I spent some time with Chelsea and the bridesmaids before visiting Mikenzi and his brothers at his parents’ home just up the road. I also got to play a Father Christmas of sorts by transporting presents between the houses. Mikenzi and Chelsea got each other matching gifts without meaning to. Cute right 😁 😁 😁
I really dig how this shot came out. I love this perspective - following the bride up the aisle and capturing everyone else looking on.
The Ceremony was at the Rangiora Golf Course in the forest! With chairs and an arch set up, it was a beautiful setting for the Wedding.
This photo has a very unique look because it’s an amalgam of three shots I extracted from footage where I panned down from the trees. This is what gives the photo a strange perspective The final edit of the image wasn’t actually something I deliberately attempted to capture. I was able to create the photo because I had all the elements from the video.

We took some photos with the bridal party before jumping into a helicopter and flying away to our next location!!!
We flew over to The Boneline for more photos. It was the most stunning backdrop imaginable. Chelsea and Mikenzi were having a great time which made taking photos super easy. We stayed as long as we could, and then just a few moments longer before getting back in the chopper.
Speeches, Dinner and a First Dance later and the day was done. It was a great end to an awesome Wedding.

Oh my word Rowan, Mik and I are literally blown away! We cannot thank you enough. The full length video gave us both goosebumps haha somehow you just covered the day so well and included so many special moments that just depict us and our family/friends so well, moments that would have just got lost in the day but now we can cherish forever. Also, moments we didn’t even know you were there to capture it but you definitely were there! Honestly, fantastic! We even stayed up WELL past our bedtime to look through all the photos, they were just so great. I almost died over the pictures with me and my gorgeous wee girl Tess (the goldie haha)!
