Beth and Josh’s Wedding at Stonebridge in Geraldine
Beth and Josh got married on a very sunny day in early February at Stonebridge in Geraldine. I was there to capture the day with a Wedding Film. I had terrific fun shooting alongside Chris from Focus Photography. It was a magnificent day and I’m very proud of the Wedding Film that I made for Beth and Josh. Check it out right here!
The morning was very relaxed. Between getting some shots of Beth and the bridesmaids getting ready, Chris and I got our respective shots of the Wedding Rings and Beth’s Dress hanging up outside an abandoned shearing shed.
Next, Chris and I made a flying stop past Josh and the guys who were shooting clay birds. The timing wasn’t going to work out to capture them getting into their suits, and I think that suited Josh just fine. All things considered I think this was the best way to capture a bit of the guys before the wedding day got underway properly. they’re clearly in their element, and it makes for a really cool way to ‘introduce’ Josh early on in the film.
Back with the girls it was time for champagne on the lawn before Beth got into her dress. Check out the beautiful moment Beth’s Mum and Dad had watching from the side. 😊 😊 😊
Beth and Josh had their Photoshoot and a ‘First Look’ before the Ceremony. There were many opportunities for great shots. The shot of the group making their way into the field is my favourite of anything I’ve filmed recently. 😚🎥👌 (Check it out in the film to get the full sense of it, it’s best seen in motion.)
With lots of great photos taken and shots recorded we departed for Stonebridge. My first stop in the morning had been to drop in at Stonebridge and get a few shots of the grounds in the early morning light, so when it came to editing the Wedding Film I had some beautiful material to open that section.
Next thing you know Josh and Beth were married and walking back down the aisle! They’d already spent a few hours together in the morning so both of them where very relaxed for the Ceremony.
After a big group photo I wandered around and got some candid shots of Beth and Josh’s guests enjoying the sun, drinks and atmosphere of the day.
My favourite part about Stonebridge is how big and open the reception space is, with big windows letting in lots of natural light. Beth and Josh needed the space too because they had a lot of guests to seat which made for a rip roaring reception. The speeches were a lot of fun and everyone got right into the dancing.
For a few minutes during dinner Chris and I pulled Beth and Josh outside to make the most of ‘magic hour’. It made for some lovey shots to close out their video with.
I had an absolute blast capturing Beth and Josh’s wedding day and creating their Wedding Film. Here’s what Beth and Josh had to say about my work:
‘You are flippen amazing!! I’m obsessed with the videos and everyone has shed a tear when watching them. The videos are prefect and I wouldn’t change a thing.’
and then later after I sent through the videos of the Ceremony, Speeches and First dance:
‘AH-MAZ-ING
Josh and I have just sat and watched the speeches, so glad we had you capture them. There were so many moments both of us hadn’t heard or remembered.
Thanks so so much!! I’m thrilled with the footage we have.’
I really enjoy working alongside different photographers at the various weddings I get to attend but it makes for an extra easy and extra great day when I’m working with someone I trust and someone I really get along with. working with Chris is alway a joy. We totally get each other and our styles complement each other perfectly. We took it in turns to catch a few shots of each other working throughout the day 😁 These are the shots I got of Chris. 😆
Then Chris got these photos of me which I have been using EVERYWHERE. I love them so much 😆 😆 😆
Check out Chris’s site if you’re in the market for a great wedding Photographer.
As promised here’s Beth and Josh’s full length wedding film, set to four songs of their choice, telling the story of their whole day.
Thanks for reading my blog!
Cheers
