Cherie and Matt’s Wedding at Langdale Vineyard
Matt and Cherie got married at Langdale Vineyard on a stunning summer’s day in March. Cherie’s make up was by Chrystal O’Brien, Kineta Booker was the Celebrant and Susannah Blatchford took the photos. I captured the day in video to make a Wedding Film for Matt and Cherie. A particular highlight was getting lots of adorable moments of their children enjoying the day. Check out the Highlights of their Film below.
The day started with Cherie, her kids and the bridesmaids getting ready. It was relaxed and fun for everyone. The kids warmed up to the camera quickly and in no time were flashing smiles and pulling funny faces for me.
Matt and the groomsmen were in fine spirits too as they got ready, I got some great moments of Matt with his son.
Back with the girls there was some time for photos on the lawn before Cherie got into her dress and then it was off to the races!!!
It was a very hot day by the time we got out to Langdale. Wedding Celebrant Kineta Booker made sure everything ran smoothly and before you knew it Matt and Cherie were married!
After hugs and kisses with all the guests we made sure to get some family shots before the kids got tired out (or dirty 😆). It all went very well and we got some beautiful moments with the children. After a big group photo I wandered around and got candid shots of the guests.
Susannah took us for a short drive up the road to a spot she had scoped out. It was a bit of a walk but it made for a fun adventure with lots of cool spots along the way. Then Matt’s ‘best man’ gave us all a bit more than we asked for by streaking through one of Matt and Cherie’s posed shots 😆.
Back at Langdale Cherie and Matt cut the cake and we settled in for the speeches, a Haka, and dancing to finish the night off. It was a very merry evening with lots of laughter and good fun.
I had a delightful time sharing in the excitement of the day with Cherie, Matt and their family and friends.

I first got on Cherie’s radar when I made a video for her bridesmaid Liz (Cherie was also a bridesmaid at Liz’s wedding). The video I made for Liz and Jarrod was one of my earliest attempts at figuring out what has since become my Next Day Edit service. We all got photos together at the Photobooth at the end of the night 😊

Small note, Matt and Cherie booked me to make them a Wedding Film. Ordinarily with a blog like this one I would link their full length film at the end here. However Matt and Cherie asked that I leave this private for just them, I was more than happy to oblige 😊. I always consult my clients before sharing anything from their wedding day.
