Roydon & Nicole’s Wedding | My favorite shots from the film
Nicole & Roydon were married on a stunning summer’s day in Tekapo. Throughout the day I was pinching myself because I couldn’t believe how beautiful it all was. Here are my favorite shots from their wedding film.
What a cracker start to the day, Roydon and the groomsmen play cards and drink beers on the deck -love those clouds.
In a day filled to the brim with great moments and beautiful shots I have to skip ahead to this one, probably my favourite shot of the day. This shot comes alive in the video with a bit of movement and music. Nicole’s just finished putting on her dress and a helpful bridesmaid does up her shoes. It’s the light that brings this shot to life.
Just... look at that view. The sun came out from behind the clouds just as the ceremony was kicking off, the timing was amazing.
This is a great moment, but you’ll have to check out the video to fully appreciate it. Watch for the slight tremble in Nicoles hand as Roydon slips the ring on her finger.
The Kiss. The whole ceremony looked great, the weather was perfect, it’s too easy to shoot in conditions like this 😁😁 😁
Nicole and Roydon take a moment to themselves and soak in the view of Lake Tekapo.
Yep! then we took a Helicopter up into the mountains. Too many great shots here to count.. and then...
On a whim I asked the chopper pilot if we would be able to do a few circles up in the air? The answer was yes, and I could not believe the shots I was getting while filming.
Nicole and Roydon hold hands during the flight back. Beautiful and a good way to get a natural shot of the rings in action.
We had to race against time to get the remainder of the bridal party photoshoot but the light was perfect and everyone looked great. And time after time Nicole’s veil just stole the show. You really have to see it in the video.
The first dance is one of my favourite moments in the day to shoot because it’s all about movement. Nicole and Roydon’s first dance was lovely and it only got better when everyone else joined in. It’s a great way to finish the day when everyone’s dancing up a storm. I’ll usually have a little boogie from behind the camera while I’m filming.
Shortly after the speeches, Sarah the photographer, Nicole, Roydon and I snuck out and across the road to make good use of the last of the days sunlight. Terrific shots were captured.
The day was a joy to film and be a part of from start to finish, Nicole and Roydon chose terrific music and the film was a blast to create. Check it out here.
Thanks for the stunning sights and good times
Cheers
