Nathan & Courtney’s Wedding | My Favorite Shots from the Film

Nathan & Courtney’s Wedding day was a full on day of fun in Hanmer Springs.  These are some of my favourite shots from throughout the day.

Right from the start of the day there was always something exciting to shoot, Courtney playing with her son was a great moment I captured early on in the day.

I love this shot, the light is just perfect and it makes for a beautiful sort of silhouette. This moment translates very well into a photograph.

Dressing a toddler 30 minutes before the ceremony was never going to be easy, but it did make for some very cute shots.

The highlight of the day might have been when Courtney and Nathan’s kids came down the aisle - what a great big sister moment. 😁 I love that I was able to get down to their level and get a shot that represented their point of view with all the faces of the guests in attendance watching them.

Courtney is escorted up the aisle by her father.

Love this moment where Courtney and Nathan look at each other. It makes a great photograph.

The photoshoot was incredible fun, there was no shortage of laughter or great moments to capture. But the best moment by far was the aftermath of ‘the slap’ when one of the guys slapped his fellow groomsman.  The bridal party fell about laughing while the camera rolled. Nothing we could have organised would ever come close to the genuine laugher and smiles that this moment created.

Good stuff with the guys.

Courtney and her bridesmaids throw their flowers into the air. It makes for great moment.

Back at the Heritage in Hanmer Springs I got one of my favourite shots of the day during their first dance. I’m able to get in nice and close without it feeling that way. I love capturing the moments between the bride and groom at the close of such a big day.

For Nathan and Courtney I made two videos, a full length wedding film set to four songs of their choice and a highlights video set to just one song. I feel they each achieve different things, while being made up of the same footage. Watch them both here:
