Corin & Gareth’s Family Wedding

Corin and Gareth's Wedding day was a real delight to be involved with, the whole day was relaxed and super fun. Corin and Gareth's two young boys were about as cute as can be and had a great time celebrating with Mum and Dad. I was there to capture the whole day in film.

I've put some of my favourite shots together in this video:

After the wedding day Corin also asked me if I could send through any photos I might be able to find in the video. All the images you see here are taken from the original video footage. I wasn't doing any dedicated photography on the day as Corin and Gareth had a family friend taking photos.

I really love getting great big close up shots of the rings, they are my favourite way to start a wedding film.

I love the way the light lands on the side of Corin's face in this first shot

Corin and Gareth's young boys get dressed and ready for a big day. Aren't they just adorable. 😁

Corin's mother helps her get into the dress. Lots of lovely moments here, I love the shot of Corin’s rings, and the shots of her grinning.

Gareth and the boys kicked things off by walking down the aisle, followed by a striking lineup of bridesmaids and finally Corin.

Check out Corin and Gareth's full film below to see the whole moment when Gareth sees Corin walking down the aisle.

Corin and Gareth are married! The kids both had important jobs bringing the rings forward. My favourite part was the whole family walking down the aisle holding hands.

For the Photoshoot it was just Corin, Gareth and the kids. The idea was to relax and get some great family shots. Corin and Gareth's boys had picked out a spot - a wild bit of bush a short drive away. We picnicked for a bit and then got into some photos. When it came time for Corin and Gareth to get a couple of shots without the kids I put on my Babysitter hat and went exploring further down the path with the boys - which resulted in some of my favourite shots of them picking their way through the bush. I love the striking contrast of the boys in their black and white against the greens and browns of the forest. My favourite detail was the untucked look they were both rocking with their shirts. Super cute.

Back at the Heritage the Speeches were a riot of laughs and Corin and Gareth blew everyone away with an amazing first dance that I was very excited to capture.

One of the last shots I got on the day is probably my favourite. Corin and Gareth, holding each other tightly surrounded on the dance floor by their family and friends. It's a striking image that translates beautifully into a photograph.

Corin and Gareth's wedding was an absolute blast, I was riding high on how awesome the day was all the way back home to Christchurch. Putting together the film was great fun too. Corin and Gareth's wedding music selections challenged me at first but once I figured out my approach everything fell into place and I could not be prouder of their final film.

Cheers for the great day fam!
